Getting there by air

The nearest airport is Geneva Airport, which is just over an hour from Sixt Fer à Cheval (about 85km). Flight time from the UK is about 1 ½ hours.

Driving from Geneva airport

From the airport, follow signs for France / Chamonix - Mont Blanc Tunnel. Continue to follow signs for Chamonix / Mont Blanc Tunnel and join the A40 motorway. Leave the motorway at junction 18 (Cluses / Scionzier) and follow signs for Samoëns/Sixt Fer à Cheval. Please be aware that the road up to the Chalet is quite steep - make sure you bring snow chains with you! The overall journey from the airport should only take you about an hour and a quarter.
